James Devine

James Devine graduated with honors from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 2000. Upon graduation, he worked for an accounting firm in Philadelphia where he assisted with audits of nonprofit organizations and mutual fund companies as well as the preparation of nonprofit tax returns.

He later moved to San Diego and began working for a full-service accounting firm where he was responsible for the preparation of financial statements as well as the income, payroll, sales, and property tax returns for numerous closely-held businesses. During this period, he successfully completed the CPA exam and began focusing on taxation. He began working for Lauer Georgatos Covel Devine & Feiles in 2005 where he specializes in providing tax consulting and compliance services to high net-worth individuals and their businesses, as well as trusts, foundations and estates.
